Jacqueline is an LA born visual designer, creative director, writer and herbalist. She combines her vision of visceral story telling with strategic design narrative, creating an “outside of the box” perspective. Her work integrates the cultural zeitgeist with an intelligent outsider’s point of view. Innovation, connection and empowerment are all themes found in her work, informed by a multicultural background, from Latin America by way of Eastern European roots.  Travel, adventure and nature are her greatest healers.

Creating through the lens of beauty has influenced my desire to experience harmony both within, and without. Integrating the physical, mental, and energetic bodies has helped me create harmony in my own life.
As a Certified Herbalist I formulated, developed and launched “As Above Herbals,” a holistic educational platform and consumer packaged goods line in 2016. Through this passion project I produced a boutique brand of plant based tools and wellness education, sourcing the most sustainable and organic ingredients through my travels in the USA, Mexico and the Mediterranean. 
The DTC goods of supplemental tinctures, teas, natural smokes and clean beauty products could be found at lifestyle spaces, tea houses, wellness pop-up events, international workshops and retreats.
I have lent my expertise to teaching Plant Spirit Medicine at the Rising River Wisdom School in Long Beach, CA, collaborating with UK’s metaphysical space “She’s Lost Control,” and New York’s music and gallery immersion, Commend NYC, as well as retreats at Hudson’s Maha Rose, wellness events at LA’s 1Hotels, Warner Music, and AYAM tea house.

It all begins with ideation.  Textures, color and collaboration bring an authentic brand into focus. Designing a cohesive collection includes forecasting print, pattern, color and fabrications. 
I have orchestrated design capsules from ideation to launch in Sportswear, Luxury, Tech and Activewear with production in- house and overseas, from runway to mass market.

herbalism + permaculture

I’m interested in the intersection of Earth advocacy, Herbalism and regenerative agriculture, where food as medicine and eco living integrate.
I received my certification as an herbalist from the Gaia School of Healing in Los Angeles California, and studied under the plant spirit medicine wisdom of Robin Rose Bennett in New York.
I continue my work with the plants through story telling, medicine making and ethically harvesting all over the world.  The cycles of nature have inspired workshops in the USA, Mexico and the UK. I have also worked with the WOOFING association both in Evia, Greece harvesting fruit on Norman fig farm, as well as cultivating Barbera wine in Nizza Monferrato, Italy on Tenuta Foresto’s vineyard.
